This report presents a roadmap towards a country approach to safeguards in Chad as well as an analysis of the risks and benefits of Chad's broad strategic options for REDD+. It is the result of desk review, interviews and two stakeholder consultations in Chad in 2016.

La REDD + est un mécanisme d'atténuation à l'échelle nationale adopté volontairement par les pays. Cependant, plusieurs pays ont utilisé une approche sous-nationale pour mettre en œuvre leurs activités REDD + comme mesures provisoires, pour les aider à tester les approches et les outils sur le terrain, y compris NERF/NRF, SNSF, sauvegardes, politiques et mesures, etc. pour les actions "+" potentielles d'un pays.

REDD+ is a national scale mitigation mechanism voluntarily adopted by countries across the world. However, several countries have used a subnational approach to implement their REDD+ activities as interim measures, helping countries to test approaches and tools on the field, including FREL/FREL, NFMS, Safeguards, PAM, etc. for potential “+” actions and administrative arrangements of a country.   This presentation outlines the challenges and options available to Zambia in terms of reconciling REDD+ at multiple scales.
