Project Intervention Area

Definition

The area of land within a plan vivo or plan vivos where specified project interventions are carried out. For example, a plan vivo may be developed for a smallholding of 10 hectares within which there is cropland and degraded land. Within that plan vivo, 2 hectares will be planted with native trees under the project intervention. The project intervention area is therefore 2 hectares. The plan vivo area, or management area, is 10 hectares.
