PNG_Mapping_LU-Change_Workshop

This document describes the work undertaken during the visit of a national PNG team to FAO HQ, Rome, Italy, from the 21th of November to the 2nd of December 2011.

The workshop described in this document is part of the capacity building activities related to the Start-Up Phase of the UN-REDD Programme. The topics dealt with during the workshop concerned the satellite land monitoring system (SLMS), as part of the national MRV system. The aim was to develop a classification system using TerraAmazon software as a tool to undertake thematic classification and database implementation.
