Norway's priorities on governance within REDD+ and Natural Resource Management

Ivar Jorgensen, Senior Adviser in Norad, gave a presentation on Norway's priorities on governance within REDD+ and Natural Resource Management, emphasizing the gender dimension in particular. Further, Jorgensen also noted that consultations, governance assessments and anti-corruption were important steps on the way to good governance within REDD+. Also, bringing in the local level in REDD+ was highlighted: "REDD+ will not materialize unless there is an agreement at the global level, and it will not work unless it brings benefits to the local stakeholders."
