Multi-stakeholder dialogues are a useful way of bringing together different interest groups towards the common goal of sustainable management and conservation of natural resources. When IUCN first started working to reduce illegal logging in Ghana in 2005, it realized that none of the groups concerned were speaking to each other. This audio piece outlines how IUCN brought the government, civil society, the private sector and the forest communities to the same table in order to attempt to reduce conflicts, enable sustainable natural resource management and improve local livelihoods in Ghanaian forested landscapes.
