Ghana’s net annual loss of forest cover is estimated at 2% with forest degradation generally acknowledged as more prevalent as compared to deforestation. To address these challenges, Ghana’s REDD+ Strategy was developed to meet the requirements of the Warsaw Framework on REDD+ and other decisions of the UNFCCC.
