This guide provides step by step guidance on managing a process for engaging stakeholders to collaboratively develop safeguards to guide REDD+ actions. This process could also be applied to other consultative activities that may be carried out in relation to REDD+ (e.g., development of a REDD+ Strategy Document. Though based on the process carried out in Brazil between 2009 and 2010, the guide was specifically developed to provide generic guidance that can be applied to other countries.
