DEPI-ROLAC Activity narrative report for the development of National REDD+ Strategy in Panama

The ICA will result in the following outputs as stated in the NJP Panama:

• Proposals for improving legal and regulatory issues related to the design and implementation of policies for REDD+;
• Reports on. spatial analysis of projected deforestation and on identification of environmental and other benefits, especially in deforestation hot spots;
• Report identifying potentially transformational policies that can optimize environmental and social benefits under a REDD+ programme;
• A nationally owned REDD+ strategy for Panama developed in collaboration with UNDP and FAO;
• More accurate reference emissions scenarios and relevant systems for information dissemination.
